Star announces Cloud option for its Practice Management suite
At its recent Americas User Group Meeting Star’s CEO, Bernard Skalla, announced that the company will offer its leading Practice Management software in the Cloud as well as On-Premise. Star’s Cloud platform will be available to early adopters from Q4 2019, and will become generally available during the course of 2020.
Clients will be offered various service levels, including a full Managed Services suite that will reduce up-front costs with Star managing infrastructure and data, enabling clients to focus on the benefits to their business.
In conjunction with this, Star also announced that it plans to release a series of API’s to provide integration with other applications. These API’s will potentially cover Client, Job, Contact and Staff data as well as transactional areas such as Time Entry, Expense Entry, Budgeting and Scheduling.
Star Practice Management already provides integration with a wide range of other applications covering areas such as CRM, HR, accounting and tax, and API’s will enable Star clients to continue to expand their use of this functionality. Star will continue to provide and support ‘On-Premise’ solutions where firms want to retain control of their Practice Management environment and infrastructure.
Firms currently using Star Practice Management On-Premise will be able to transfer to the Cloud option with no loss of data or, importantly, functionality, including all configurations and customizations.
